Before black and white became a style, it looked like TRI-X.
TRI-X is all over twentieth-century photography. Everyday life, protests, wars, music, and people on the street. Many of the images we still remember were shot on this film.
At ISO 400, TRI-X has visible grain, plenty of detail, rich greys, and medium contrast. It works well for street work, documentary projects, portraits, and concerts. In low light, it is often pushed for more contrast and grain.
