Kodak Tri-X 400 (120)

Before black and white became a style, it looked like TRI-X.

For decades, TRI-X was used to photograph streets, protests, wars, music, and everyday life. Its grain, contrast, and sharp look became part of how we remember twentieth-century photography.

In 120, that character stays the same, but the larger negative changes the way it looks. The grain is still there, but it feels softer. Details stay clear, the greys are smoother, and the sharp edges remain. TRI-X looks calmer in medium format, but never too clean.
